Evaluation Kit Overview

Includes the Intel® Quark™ SE microcontroller C1000 with the following:

  • Bluetooth* low energy module with integrated antenna
  • 2 USB ports (JTAG debug and direct SoC)
  • 6-axis accelerometer / gyroscope (on sensor subsystem)
  • Temperature sensor (on Intel® Quark™ processor core)

Power sources:

  • External DC input (2.5 V – 5 V)
  • USB power via the debug port (5 V)

The Intel® System Studio for Microcontroller development environment features:

  • GNU compiler collection (GCC) for Intel® architecture
  • GCC for GNU Toolchain for ARC
  • Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel® IPP) for microcontroller DSP libraries
  • Bare-metal and Zephyr Project* real-time operating system (RTOS) support

The board support package for the open-source Intel® Quark™ microcontroller Software Interface (Intel ® QMSI) includes:

  • Bootloader
  • Drivers and sample applications
  • Portability across Intel® Quark™ microcontrollers

Intel® Quark™ SE Microcontroller C1000

The Intel® Quark™ SE microcontroller C1000 is a low-power consumption system-on-chip (SoC) that provides edge analytics by combining an x86 MCU with a sensor sub-system and pattern matching capability through a hardware accelerated engine. Standard industry peripherals including USB are provided on chip and Bluetooth low energy on board.
