For the select students who are invited, the many benefits offered include:

  • Formal association with Intel Corporation via branded swag and the student ambassador title
  • Free software, tools, and libraries
  • Direct access to the student's own instance on the Intel® Xeon Phi™ processor-powered cluster to power the development and training of deep-learning models
  • Access to early disclosure information (under NDA) during monthly meetings with Intel
  • Direct access to Intel engineers and resources to support their work and adoption and integration of Intel® architecture
  • Sponsored travel to support speaker opportunities and/or training by or for the student ambassador
  • Sponsored funds to assist in hosting, training, and speaking sessions at their campus to promote their work

Roles & Responsibilities

Student ambassadors will continue in their role as long as the student is able to and desires to continue as an ambassador or until their graduation, whichever comes first. During their time as an ambassador, each student is expected to complete the following:

  • Publish two technical articles to appear on the Intel® Developer Zone
  • Create an online profile and post at least one project to Developer Mesh
  • Be a host speaker of one or more Ambassador Labs
  • Provide training about their work to a total of 125 students or more

Other Non-Student Ambassador Opportunities

Student clubs at universities can apply for sponsorship funds to help support the costs for meetings. In return, the club shares information about Intel's support of artificial intelligence (AI). Select clubs will be provided with an AI training kit that includes content and training to discuss during their event. Select university clubs will receive priority for guest speaker opportunities by Intel or associated partners as resources are available.
