About Deciding on the Proposed Tasks

Before you modify your serial program to use parallelism, use the Intel® Advisor Summary window to decide on the proposed sites and their tasks. For each parallel site, the Summary window lets you view the predicted performance benefit and data sharing problems side-by-side. This window shows a summary of the Suitability tool's predicted performance data and the Correctness tool's data sharing problems.

You should view the Summary window often, such as after you modified the sources and ran the Suitability and Correctness tools for a target. The typical use involves several iterations of running the two tools and viewing the Summary window before you finally decide on the proposed tasks.

You can drill down from the Summary window to display the Survey Report, Suitability Report, and Correctness Report.
