Install l_fcompxe_2013.5.192 on OpenSuse

Hi all,

I want to install the ifortran for the following distribution:

Welcome to openSUSE 12.3 "Dartmouth" - Kernel \r (\l).

During the installation of ifort, the disclaimer says:

Missing optional pre-requisites
-- unsupported OS

I would like to know if this is a potential danger for the programs

compiled in it or if I can more o less trust in the compiler.

Thanks,

For more complete information about compiler optimizations, see our Optimization Notice.

It just means that the installer probably can't confirm pre-requisite sofware and that you may not recieve official support for problems related to the platform, though you can find help in this forum.  I run the compilers on Gentoo Linux, which is also "unsupported".  Aside from making sure you have the pre-requisite software installed (a functioning gcc install among others) all you need to do is accept that you want to install even though you are missing the optional "unsupported OS" pre-requisiste.

I have been running the current 32- and 64-bit versions of Intel Fortran and C on OpenSuse 12.3 X64 with no problems whatsoever.
