BLACS Routines

The Intel® Math Kernel Library implements routines from the BLACS (Basic Linear Algebra Communication Subprograms) package (see BLACS Routines) that are used to support a linear algebra oriented message passing interface that may be implemented efficiently and uniformly across a large range of distributed memory platforms.

The original versions of BLACS from which that part of Intel MKL was derived can be obtained from The authors of BLACS are Jack Dongarra and R. Clint Whaley.
