BLOCK COMPARE

Compare parts of the memory.

Syntax

BLOCK COMPARE [/LENGTH=number] destination_address = source_address

Parameters

/LENGTH=number

Specifies the number of bytes to be compared. The default is 0x1000.

source_address

The memory start address of the source block

destination_address

The memory start address of the destination block.

Description

This command compares parts of the memory. The memory starting at the value of the expression source_address is compared to the memory starting at the address given by the expression destination_address. By default, a memory length of 0x1000 is compared. If the two compared blocks are equal, an OK message is printed to the Console window. Otherwise, the comparison stops as soon as the first difference is found and the address where the first block differs from the second one is printed.

Example

BLOCK COMPARE /LENGTH=0x8000 0x3000 = 0x10000
