Uniform discrete distribution over the integer interval [a,b). You can generate any successive random number k of the uniform distribution by the formula:

where u is a successive random number of a uniform (continuous) distribution over the interval [a,b) and ⌊x⌋ stands for the operation floor(x) that produces the maximum integer, which does not exceed x.
