The TSP Load metric represents the percentage of time that the Texture and Shading Processor (TSP) is busy.
The TSP is responsible for the texturing and shading of visible fragments. If the TSP Load metric is high relative to the TA Load and ISP Load metrics, try one of the following techniques to improve performance:
- If the USSE Pixel Load metric is high, investigate ways to reduce fragment shader compute complexity.
- If the Texture Unit Load metric is high, investigate ways to reduce texture usage.
- Determine whether alpha blending modes are enabled, which might reduce the effectiveness of the hidden surface removal algorithms in the ISP.
