Introducing the Intel® System Studio

Intel® System Studio is a comprehensive and integrated tool suite that provides advanced system tools and technologies to help accelerate the delivery of the next generation power efficient, high performance, and reliable embedded and mobile devices.

You can build, optimize, debug, tune, and deploy 32- and 64-bit system and C and C++ application code on Linux* and Windows* host platforms for running on embedded targets.

Intel® System Studio 2016 provides support for systems ranging from Intel® Atom™ Processor-based low-power embedded platforms to 3rd and 4th generation Intel® Core™ microarchitecture-based designs for high throughput data processing and signal processing.

Intel® System Studio components integrate into the following IDEs:

  • Intel® C++ Compiler, libraries, Intel® VTune™ Amplifier, and debuggers integrate into Eclipse* CDT

  • Intel® C++ Compiler, libraries, Intel® VTune™ Amplifier, and debuggers integrate into the Wind River* Workbench

  • Intel® C++ Compiler integrates into Android* Developer Tools

  • Intel® C++ Compiler, libraries, Intel® VTune™ Amplifier integrate into Microsoft* Visual Studio* 2010 and later

Intel® System Studio is supplied in various versions:

  • Intel® System Studio Composer Edition

  • Intel® System Studio Professional Edition

  • Intel® System Studio Ultimate Edition

The Editions differ in the components they include, in the host-to-target combinations, and IDEs they support. This document provides information and use cases irrespective of particular Edition you installed to show most features and benefits provided by the Intel® System Studio.
