Configuration EEPROM

The Intel® Joule™ expansion board contains a programmable EEPROM that can be used to identify the expansion board to the Intel Joule module and hold board manufacturing data.

Note:  If the module determines that the expansion board EEPROM is not present or its contents are corrupted, then the BIOS executing on the module configures the module signals to the BIOS default configuration, as described in System on Module Overview in the Module Datasheet.
