Intel® Parallel Studio XE

Runtime error with the (undefined symbol: _intel_avx_rep_memcpy) for icpc of Intel Parallel Studio 2018.1.163

On Ubuntu Virtualbox, I can generate a '.so' file without problem using the 'icpc' command of Intel Parallel Studio 2018.1.163. However, when I run the program linked with the '.so' file, there is an error saying:

symbol lookup error: /opt/intel/compilers_and_libraries_2018.1.163/linux/compiler/lib/intel64/ undefined symbol: __intel_avx_rep_memcpy

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Is it related to LD_LIBRARY_PATH or anything else?

My 'LD_LIBRARY_PATH' is shown below:

Doctor Fortran in "Eighteen is the New Fifteen"

When the international Fortran standards committee (WG5) met in 2012 to set a schedule for the next standard revision, the informal name of the standard was set to be "Fortran 2015". The schedule changed over the subsequent years, but the name stayed the same. The current schedule has the standard being published in the second half of 2018, which caused a question to be asked: "Should we perhaps think of changing the year number to something more current?"

  • new install parallel studio on windows

I am working on a new project that requires me to be able to compile on Windows. Currently I have a trial license for Parallel studio XE 2018 on Windows, but will soon transition to a paid license.

In the mean time I have installed MSVS 2015 community edition, and have installed all the non-IA32 components of Parallel Studio. The project in question uses CMake for the build system and the goal is to generate VS project/solution files with CMake to do the build.
