Intel® System Debugger

This is a Joint Test Action Group (JTAG)-based solution that supports in-depth debugging and tracing for system software and embedded applications based on Intel® architecture. The JTAG extensions for the Windows* Debugger kernel support a kernel debug and validation through a halted Windows system. It enables deep analysis on a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI), system on chip (SoC) peripheral registers, operating system (OS) kernels, and drivers with full OS awareness.

OpenOCD is open-source software that interfaces with a hardware debugger's JTAG port. GBD over OpenOCD provides debugging and in-system programming for embedded target devices from the hardware and middleware to the application layer.
