For firmware, OS level system and device driver debug, using a JTAG interface is the most commonly used method in the embedded intelligent systems world. The same is also true in the mobile device space. This article covers the use of the XDB Intel(R) JTAG Debugger for system software stack debug on Android* based IA-32 and Intel(R) 64 devices.

    In a previous article http://software.intel.com/node/488501 I took a look at the JTAG debugger XDB that is part of Intel® System Studio and showed some of the new features and functions built into the 2014 release.

    Here I want to take a closer look at the EFI debugging features in XDB and also show a little example EFI debugging session.
