2017 Modern Code Developer Challenge Contestants Innovate on HPC, AI & IOT Projects

  • Overview

As part of its ongoing support of the world-wide student developer community and advancement of science, Intel has partnered with CERN through CERN openlab to sponsor the Intel® Modern Code Developer Challenge. The goal for Intel is to give budding developers the opportunity to use modern programming methods to improve code that helps move science forward. The contest involved five projects, five highly talented student researchers, during nine weeks at CERN.

Two winners were selected: Elena Orlova, for her work on improving particle collision simulation algorithms, and Konstantinos Kanellis, for his work on cloud-based biological simulations.
