Intel® GPA provides tools for graphics analysis and optimization that can help you make games and other graphics-intensive applications run even faster. The tools support the platforms based on the latest generations of Intel Core™ and Intel Atom™ processor families, for applications developed for Windows, Android, or Ubuntu* OS.

I'm Seth Schneider here to tell you about the exciting new features in the Intel GPA 2018 R1 release.

We've made profiling your Intel GPU easier in multi-GPU systems, upgraded Graphics Monitor to a more intuitive cross-platform interface, and added some additional features to Graphics Frame Analyzer. Stick around to get the details. And remember to download Intel GPA for free on the links provided.

Intel GPA now supports the ability to choose a playback GPU target for a particular frame. This is very helpful when profiling an Intel GPU on a system where both the Intel GPU and a third party GPU is available.

Simply click on the dropdown menu in the top left-hand side of the Frame Open dialog, and select the GPU you would like to play back on. Once the GPU is selected, open your frame of choice.

Graphics Monitor received an overhaul this release. The user interface is now much more intuitive, and features are easier to access.

The new Graphics Monitor is completely cross-platform, adds the ability to organize analysis targets by graphics API, and gives users the ability to filter the targets list.

Graphics Frame Analyzer has received some additional features this release. We've added a Pixel History tab that helps users track pixels while still having access to the API log. There is also a Resource History tab that details how a selected resource was used throughout the frame. Simply double-click on any resource, and analyze how and when that resource was used.

In addition, the Frame Statistics tab has also been added to give users a high-level overview of how often a particular call has been used within the frame.
