ultrabook + sensorsAPI (ie 3d compass)
By Clicktoy5
Hello, (I hope this is a good place to ask this kind of support question) I've fully implemented an asynchronous sensors api testing app.  currently i'm trying to read the compass: aka "SENSOR_DATA_TYPE_MAGNETIC_HEADING_COMPENSATED_MAGNETIC_NORTH_DEGREES" and I find I'm getting erroneous data.  I orient the laptop in various cardinal directions.  I do not seem to get a reliable 360 degrees of bearing. mostly I get 60-180 (always positive, but I can get almost all 360 values if I twist it around quickly).  If I tilt the UB upright (keyboard perpendicular to the floor)  then for a moment, with the key's facing north, I get a correct bearing..however with a small amount of yawing back and forth, there is an obvious drift such that after a few seconds, north is now 5% to the west.  If I continue yaw'ing back and forth, the drift persists until 0 degrees (ergo the keyboard) is fully facing west.   I don't seem to ever get correct bearing results when the UB is sitting flat. Is the UB com...

Issue in publishing WPF app that calls Windows RT functions
By Manoj Attal5
I am working on a WPF app that I want to create for Windows 8. I followed steps mentioned in Hansleman's blog to maks some manual modifications using which I could call WinRT functions in WPF app. Everything worked well, until I tried to publish the app. When I clicked on publishing the app I got error "The 'ResolveManifestFiles' task failed unexpectedly. System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range." Afterwards, it will produce the same error when attempting a simple solution build. Even if you create a simple WPF project and add the references mentioned in blog to access WinRT functions and publish, this issue can be reproduced. I think it would be common scenario to call WinRT functions from WPF and someone should have done it. Is anyone aware what should be done to fix this issue?

tested esat smart security 6
By Vikrant Mudholkar4
ESAT Smart security is the Best Antivirus for Windows 8 32/64-bit, vista/xp if you have a laptop and needs a firewall and anti spam, then ESAT smart security is a better choice NOD32  haven’t had any problems on my systems, everything runs fine, I love ESAT’s small notifies about virus updates, they are sweet and really not annoying and it tells you the antivirus is up-to-date, ESAT’s updates antivirus definitions twice or more a day, so you might get new antivirus definitions 3-4 times a day! NOD32 & Smart Security does not use much resources, if you manual scan, then it uses much CPU, but when it runs in the background it takes less than 80MB memory, 0-2% CPU in Windows 8 you can turn on gamer mode when you are playing games it gives better performance than any in its competition. More than one license is cheap compared to other antivirus products from other companies I recommend NOD32 Antivirus for PCs and workstations behind a firewall or routers I also recommend ESAT Smart ...
