In case you haven't yet heard, Mashery, the leader in API management, joined the Intel Software and Services Group in May 2013. We're so excited to be a part of this organization and even more excited to introduce our suite of developer tools to the Intel software community!
Before we introduce you to those awesome tools, a little more on what we do at Mashery:
Our unique, holistic approach to API management encompasses working with customers to craft profitable platform strategies, ensuring fast, reliable API access and facilitating relationships with our network of developers. We have helped over 200 top brands—including USA TODAY, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Best Buy, Aetna CarePass, ESPN, Capital One, and The New York Times —take advantage of APIs to build new revenue channels, speed time-to-market, and spur innovation.
At HTML5 Conf on October 22nd and 23rd we featured demos and overviews of Mashery developer tools:
Christos Georgiopoulos, Vice President, Software and Services Group and General Manager, Developer Relations Division at Intel Corporation led a keynote at HTML5 Conf exploring cross-platform development and open standards-based developer ecosystems. Christos featured the Mashery-powered JamBase API.
Paul Fischer, Technical Marketing Engineer for Intel’s mobile and embedded development tools, gave an HTML5 talk and a demo of the Intel XDK using Mashery-powered APIs like Rotten Tomatoes, Klout, Hotwire, PeerIndex, WeatherBug, and Patch.
Get to know us a little better! The best to place to start is the Mashery API Network: an open data commons of over 50 RESTful APIs that developers can access with their Mashery ID. With over 235,000 developers and 88,000 active applications, the Mashery API Network helps developers get started with APIs quickly and overcome common pain points during app development.
Try out our API Explorer – where you can play with and test calls on some of our public APIs before heavy-duty coding using our I/O Docs interactive documentation tool.
Check out our GitHub – home of our developer tools, including our Intel XDK HTML5 Sample Apps and our open source I/O Docs project that you're welcome to contribute to.
Find out where we'll be via our Developer Events Calendar. If you're looking to attend a hackathon, join us at one of the 60+ events we anually attend across the globe.
We look forward to getting more involved in the Intel software community and helping you to discover tools and APIs that will enhance and inspire your projects!
Feel free to reach out to me directly via Twitter with any questions or feedback you may have about Mashery, our APIs, our Intel XDK sample apps, I/O Docs, or any of our other developer initiatives.
Happy coding and happy HTML5 Conf!
Sarah-Jane Morris, Developer Community Manager, Mashery
