Intel® IPP - Using Intel® IPP in Java* applications

Can I use Intel® IPP in a Java* application?
Yes, you can call Intel IPP functions in your Java application by using the Java* Native Interface (JNI*). Please refer to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/index.html† for information on JNI.

Are there any Intel IPP Java examples I can test?
JAVA* sample code is part of IPP 7.1legacy samples, for more information refer to Knowledge base article - https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-ipp-71-other-legacy-samples .

Is there any performance overhead when calling Intel IPP functions from the JNI*?
There is some overhead associated with JNI use, especially when the input data size is small.
