Which platforms does Intel Fortran Compiler support?
Linux* (32 bit and 64 bit), OS X* (64 bit) and Windows* (32 bit and 64 bit). The Linux and Windows products include both 32-bit and 64-bit support, as well as supporting development for the Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessor. For more information, see the release notes.
Is the Intel Fortran Compiler compatible with the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) on Linux* and OS X* and, Microsoft Visual Studio* on Windows*?
Code compiled with the Intel Fortran Compiler can be mixed with C and C++ code compiled by GCC on Linux and OS X, or by Visual C++* on Windows. Code compiled by Intel Fortran cannot be mixed with code compiled by other Fortran compilers.
How do I install Intel® Parallel Studio XE on different Linux operating systems?

Which Visual Studio* version does the Intel Fortran Compiler support?

Intel provides redistributable installers for each platform. A list of the redistributable files are listed under the fredist.txt file at the following directories:

Which features of the various Fortran standards does the Intel Fortran Compiler support?
Intel Fortran Compiler 17.0 supports all of Fortran 2003, most of Fortran 2008, and portions of draft Fortran 2015. For more information, see Fortran Standard Features Supported by the Intel Fortran Compiler.
Are binaries that the Intel Fortran Compiler generates backward or forward compatible between versions?
In general, objects generated by the compiler can be linked with objects generated by later versions of the compiler, with exceptions noted in the release notes. You should always use the later version’s tools and libraries for linking.
