AppUp Store Installation - Error Code: 2009

Hello, I've been working on getting my Beta App going. So far everything is working but I get an error dialog from the AppUp store when it installs the app. The dialog says "Error, The application installation failed. Please download the application to try installing it again. Error Code: 2009, Contact Support, OK". On a previous attempt I was using the debug GUID and got error 2006 (if I remember correctly) and it did not install. Is there somewhere that has a list of what these error codes are? If not does someone know what the 2009 error code is for? Thanks for the help. Jay

Hi Jay,

We will have a complete list posted soon. Here are descriptions for 2006 and 2009.

Installation failed - Unable to get application entry

I would check system requirements and virus protection (see docs below). Also, there is an issue if you run client and SDK on same system.

I found a situation will cause error code 2009 that is select a wrong system support runtime.
for example: If you develop your application by .NET Framework, but you set the support runtime to "Adobe Air", that will cause error code 2009 when you install it from AppUp Center.

I am getting error code 2009 all the time and I am not having the wrong runtime selected problem. Any hint how to debug/fix it?

Fixed my problem by making sure my .msi file conformed to the Application Shortcuts Issue found at http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/article/troubleshooting-validation-failures

Thanks Albert.
This resolved my problem. I had not done the shortcut right and that was the problem.
