Some problems about Compression using quickassist-technology on Intel_Comms_Chipset_89xx

Hi, ALL

I do some compression tests using the Intel® QuickAssist Technology Data Compression API.

There are some problems listed below:

1. The cpaDcCompressData API is blocking and the time is about 10 ms

No matter how many buffers i compress one time, the time is always about 10 ms.

How can i reduce the blocking time or processing time ?

2. From the log, seems some parameters aren't supported, I don't know if it is true.

For examples, when i set the "compType" to be CPA_DC_LZSS or CPA_DC_ELZS,

the "cpaDcInitSession" API returns a error of "Invalid compType value".

Also when i set the "huffType" to be CPA_DC_HT_PRECOMP or CPA_DC_HT_FULL_DYNAMIC.

Do anybody know whether is normal ?

Appreciate your answers or telling me how i can find the answers.

    Thank you very much.

    Chan

Hi, Sergey

Thanks for your reply!
I found some people posted questions about quickassist to IPP.
So i did. I am sorry if I did wrong. I just posted on this forum first time.
Looking forward to your suggestion.

Regards

Chan

Chan,

The Quickassist is a separate SW/HW product, probably based in its CPU fallback on IPP. We don't know, because the different Intel team has been developing Quickassist. Try to post your issue at Intel's Premier Support site at https://employeeportal.intel.com/irj/portal/IntelPremierSupportUser. They will re-route your message to appropriate people.

Good luck,
Sergey

Hi, Sergey
When i loged in https://premier.intel.com/ , it seamed that my count has not been authorized.

"Not Authorized to Access
You do not currently have access to the requested site."

Do you have any idea about that? Or other ways I can get help ?

Thanks
