Developers And Cloud Computing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

I attended the Cloud Expo in New York City at the Javits Center in June. The attendees were a mix of Web hosting companies, web developers, software developers, hardware developers, and operating system developers. The event sponsors included Intel®, IBM*, Citrix*, Rackspace*, Oracle*, Verizon Terremark*, Akamai*, and many more.  Everyone came to learn, share, and we agreed that the development cycle was quicker than expected for new software and products using the.

Comic Director - Smarter Web Apps with Powerful New JavaScript APIs

The introduction of HTML5 has led to exciting new advances in web development, particularly in the way developers establish the structure and foundational elements of web applications. The evolution of JavaScript has brought equally exciting changes to the way developers bring life to these applications.  Applications such as Comic Director are able to behave like native ones, largely in part due to powerful new JavaScript APIs.

  • Good UI design from the other side - Ultimate Coder

This week I've been thinking a lot about how to design a UI toolkit, and this is about to get very techy, because I would like to talk about API design.

I prefer C to C++ and I'm not particularly fond of Object orientation (Although i use it on occasion). UIs are an area that are often thought of as a place where Object Oriented design really shines, but I think that is because of how we think UIs should be designed. Let's have a look at how one would typically create a button in a UI system:
