Intel Media SDK Tutorial - simple_3_encode_vmem

This Intel® Media SDK tutorial sample operates in the same way as the "sample_3_encode" workload except that it is using video memory surfaces instead of system memory surfaces.

For more details on this topic, please refer to "simple_2_decode" sample description.

    Hi,

I am currently trying to convert a QVF project into IVF. I'm using VS2005 along with IVF10.026. I have checked the project properties against the

QW-paint IVF sample, and the in my project looks like:

    /OUT:"Debug/CaFeMS1.exe" /INCREMENTAL:NO /NOLOGO /NODEFAULTLIB:"dfconsol.lib" /MANIFEST /MANIFESTFILE:"C:\CALC\CaFeMS-IVF2\debug\cafems1.exe.intermediate.manifest" /DEBUG /PDB:"Debug/CaFeMS1.pdb" /SUBSYSTEM:WINDOWS /ENTRY:"WinMainCRTStartup" kernel32.lib.

Whereas command line for the QW-paint is:

    Business Format

Some fortran compilers provide a non-standard business format, where numbers can be formatted to identify ,000 and for $1,230.00.
This is especially convenient when writing large numbers.
This is an output format only and does not conflict with , used as an input delimiter.
    .
Does ifort provide for this formatting capability for both real and integer values ?
    .
    An example format is:
write (lu,9001) ' Testing array size =',m_i4, mb, iostat
    9001 format (a, b'zz,zzz,zzz,zz#', 3x, b'zzz,zz#.##', ' mb : error code ', i0)
    .

    which impimt.dll where?

    Hi,

After installing XE 2013, I've lost the ability to run co-array programs.  In run time, I get the complaint that impimt.dll is missing.   My Intel directory has 12 copies of impimt.dll ranging from 4/28/2011 to 8/23/2012 and ranging in size from 2,975 kb to 4,184 kb, not always correlated with the date.  I also have four impimt.lib.  I don't want to mess things up too much so which do I put where and should I use different ones for use on my computer vs. exports?

    thanks,

    atanh

    Hi,

I am using Visual Fortran Compiler XE 13.0.1.119 .

When I compile with option /stand:f08 , I am getting the following message:

warning #7416: Fortran 2008 does not allow this intrinsic procedure. [ATANH]

I don't think the above message is necessary. I have just checked the Fortran 2008 standard, and ATANH is there. Look on page 331.

Intel Media SDK Tutorial - simple_3_encode

This Intel® Media SDK tutorial sample illustrates the most simplistic way of implementing HW encode using system memory surfaces.

This is intended as a simple starting point, but has some disadvantages preventing full GPU utilization
