XE 2015 update 4 (15.0.4.221): some tutorials are gone

Dear Intel team,

I got the message that XE 2015 update 4 is available and installed it over the existing update 3. After installing update 4 ...\Intel\Composer XE 2015\Samples\en_US\mkl contains two zips (tutorials_c.zip, tutorials_f.zip, see attachment) which are empty. At version 15.0.1.148 there was only one zip (tutorials.zip), which contains sample code in C and Fortran. I'm a little bit confused by the two empty zips. Should it look like this? In the MKL directory the other examples are still present.

Intel Software Manager Problem

In the software manager licences tab all my products say "Support expired on 5th April 2015". All the latest versions are thus not available to download.  If I click the renew link which takes me to the registration centre we have "Your Support service is active till 06 Apr 2016 " for the same products ( and yes I did part with cash before the expiry date!).  How do I fix this?

BTW I can download directly from the registration centre with no problem, it is just that is is better if the licence manager manages!

Intel Compiler giving license error

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has come across this issue before. I have an install of Intel Fortran on my PC but the licences don't appear to have been set up right. I get the error message

"A license for FCompW is not available". This the first time I've tried to recompile something since having this PC. I have a valid licence for this software.

Regards,

Trial Version and Developer Studio

I apologize if this question has been asked before.

Somebody else in my company wants to evaluate Intel Fortran (aka Parallel Study XE 2015 Composer). He downloaded the trial version, but he installed the wrong Developer Studio trial (he downloaded Express instead of Professional). What's the easiest way to straighten things up?

a. Uninstall both and then install the trial version of Visual Studio Professional, followed by Intel Fortran.

  • Very minor issue with documentation

Looking up the exact syntax for the IEEE inquiry functions (in particular ieee_is_nan) I came across the following fragment:

    USE, INTRINSIC :: IEEE_ARITHMETIC
    ...
      IF IEEE_SUPPORT_DATATYPE(X) THEN
       IF IEEE_IS_NORMAL(X) THEN
          PRINT *, ' X is a 'normal' '
       ELSE
          PRINT *, ' X is not 'normal' '
       ELSE
          PRINT *, ' X is not a supported IEEE type '
    ENDIF
    ...
