While Image convolution is not as effective with the new Read-Write images functionality, any image processing technique that needs be done in place may benefit from the Read-Write images. One example of a process that could be used effectively is image composition. In OpenCL 1.2 and earlier, images were qualified with the “__read_only” and __write_only” qualifiers. In the OpenCL 2.0, images can be qualified with a “__read_write” qualifier, and copy the output to the input buffer. This reduces the number of resources that are needed.

    This tutorial will guide you to your first cross-platform application using the Multi-OS Engine installed on Mac OSX* which we refer to as local build. You can also develop your Android* and iOS* applications in Android Studio on Windows* but in order to simulate your iOS application, you will need to remotely deploy your app to a Mac system running Xcode* (hence remote build). In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a simple Hello World application for Android and iOS with code-sharing between the two applications. In a real-world scenario, most of your application logic will be shared.

    This tutorial will walk you through the process of installing the AWS IoT SDK and show you how to make basic MQTT calls. Before you begin connecting your Intel® Edison board, you will need to ensure the latest OS image has been installed. To do that, follow the getting started instructions based on your host machine: Windows, Mac, or Linux. After following the standard Intel® Edison setup instructions, you will need to establish a serial connection to your device from your machine. Once you have established a serial connection (command line) to your Intel® Edison board, you can proceed to install the AWS IoT SDK using the below instructions.
