Look Through Your Head

Descripción del proyecto: 

This idea is develop a medical education game. The program will track user's head and render an AR view of head with multi-sensory depth information using CT or MRI volume data.

Uso de herramientas y SDK Intel: 

Our application is an Augmented Reality Magic Mirror for head, which allows user to learn more about his own head. The player could look through his own head sitting in front of the creative camera. The program provides an AR views about the head with X-ray image render from VKH (Visible Korean Human) volume data. The User could choose which part he wants to look inside and what virtual image to be shown. The program also augments a virtual plan to the user's head and show the corresponding CT or Photograph slice image in sagittal, Transverse and coronal directions. So the player could go through the head slice by slice. We hope this program could teach users some basic head knowledge and interest users to learn more. For user interaction, our program could recognize and track the head in 3D and render the AR view according to the position and rotation. The player uses gesture to control the program. The components of the SDK: Capture Individual Color and Depth Stream; Face Tracking and Recognition; Finger Tracking and Pose/Gesture Recognition.

The user could look through his own head. The user uses hand gesture to control the game to see the CT/MRI slices or different AR view with nerve or bone.

Perceptual Earth Facts

Descripción del proyecto: 

The objective of Perceptual Earth Facts is to give the user general statistics about the world and countries. All countries are represented into a globe and colored depending on the category the user selected (for instance Total Population or Human Development Index). This could be considered as an educational software.

Características destacadas: 

One main concept used by the application is the equivalency between inputs. When possible, the user should be able to interact using standard inputs (mouse + keyboard), finger and gesture tracking, or voice recognition. Finger Tracking and Gesture Tracking is a very used feature ; it allows the user to zoom / unzoom, rotate the globe, select countries, select an item inside a country / fact list, control a fingertip (mouse equivalent using finger tracking). It is also used on the exit window confirmation: thumb up for yes and thumb down for no. Voice Recognition is also a very used feature ; the user is able to select menu or trigger button by saying its label, to select countries or jump to a specific year. The software use Face Tracking in order to perform small rotations (if the user moves his head right / left, the earth rotates).The user can disable / enable each module through the option button at the bottom of the screen.
