Learnings about Web 2.0

Web 2.0 applications are not all Java or Javascript, but mixed environments of other languages as well, C++, php and others. Some of the more popular tools for writing Web 2.0 Applications is Adobe's Flex, Ruby on Rails and Backbase. I'm not a developer but slowly learning in creating these fun apps. A developer with fair experience I've been told over and over, that it only takes about 6 months to create a web 2.0 application.

What if you don't have time to learn to be a developer and what to make a web 2.0 application, there are services out there and some companies that will help you build it, one company I'm investigating is Ning.com, seems to have building blocks for a web 2.0 application and you can copy others 2.0 apps that exist, later you can take the code with you to continue to grow your company.

What I like about working with Web 2.0 companies, is how flexible the teams are to work with, applications can be easliy updated on the fly and all users of those applications easily get updated via there internet connection.

Next Blog I'll give you status on Ning.com and Trends I'm seeing with Web 2.0 Data Centers.
