Hi all,

Today we notified the winner of 'Most Innovative Application' and 'Most Elegant Application Design' for the first Intel Atom Developer Challenge. The two winners receive an all-expense paid trip to San Francisco, California including lodging, airfare, $100USD per diem, and an all-access pass to the Game Developers Conference on March 9, 2010.

The winners will be featured on the contest site, http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/contest/developerchallenge, March 9, 2010.

We will be contacting the winners of the '100 netbooks for 100 apps' in the next few days.

If you weren't a winner, please don't get discouraged. There will be more opportunities to be recognized and rewarded for innovative apps. The next Intel Atom Developer Challenge details will be announced on the contest site on March 9, 2010. Plus, The Beta version of the Intel AppUp(SM) center, http://www.intel.com/consumer/products/appup.htm, is live. By submitting your application early, you are one of the first to take advantage of this new revenue opportunity and potentially reach out to millions of netbook users worldwide.

Keep the great questions and conversation coming! Happy developing!

Thanks,
Tonya

Thank you Tonya.

Now is a good time to shift gears and consider any bug fixes / improvements that might need attention in your applications. Intel put the version functionality in the dashboard for a good reason.

There is no reason to stop now, create a few more entries to fill up the App Store with incredible offerings. Once AppUp is out of Beta there is going to be a flood of interest and customers to attend to. Best of luck everyone.

Hello All,

also don't forget that in the future big OEM's like Acer, ASUS, Dell, and Samsung will ship the Intel AppUp Client preinstalled on netbooks which will enormously boost the userbase ..

Best Regards,

How about those netbooks which are already in the market?

Do they have to install App Up manually?

Khan,

For those netbooks which were already out on the market before the store was released, customers buying them may need to install the AppUp(SM) manually.
