When camera will be available for shipment to addresses in Russia?

Sergey, we are still working on this issue and will announce when we can ship the cameras to Russia. Thanks, David

Thank for your answer!

Hi,
Is there any way we can emulate the camera function or work in the sdk without the camera, as we are currently unable to afford the same.

Kind regards,

Hi Pradeep,

If you have a standard webcam then a lot of the SDK will run - see http://software.intel.com/en-us/comment/1718399#comment-1718399.

         Hello,

Thank you for submitting your application for the Intel® Camera Loan Program. You will receive your Creative* Interactive Gesture Camera within 7 – 10 days.

The loaner camera can be kept for 60 days, at which time we kindly ask that you ship it back to Intel using the provided labels, pre-paid postage and original packaging.

Thank you again for your participation. Good luck

I apologize. It's okay. Федекс ошибся с адресом. I took the parcel in their office in person.

When will a Linux SDK be available?  It would be great to use this camera in robotics, and so much of that is done on Linux.

Thanks

Hi,

just received a notification about my camera, won at this contest (http://www.creativeapplications.net/processing/announcing-can-intel-perceptual-computing-challenge-giveaway/). Intel sent it as if I have purchased it, so FedEx is asking for 50 € because of customs taxes. Is that right?

Regards

Greetings,

I tried to purchase the camera (through http://click.intel.com/intelsdk/Creative_Interactive_Gesture_Camera_Deve... ) but it is out of stock.

Are there other sources, that I could purchase it from ? Is there a way to preorder ?

Regards

Hello David (daflippers) I would like to integrate a camera for face recognition with our existing time clock software. Currently we are using a finger scanner which a lot of time does not work. As you mentioned that any webcam will work for this purpose, I am thinking to buy Creative Lab HD Webcam (VF0720). It will be greatly appreciated if you can give me your expert advise by reading the specs of that camera if this will do the job. We have 28 employees at our location, computer with win 7 64 bits.

Thank you and will be waiting for a quick reply.

Is the camera avialable in India ?

Does the intel "real sense" camera as same as intel perceptual computing 2013 (Creative Senz 3D) ?

Is it possible to change the lens of the camera? could be customize in order to work in longer distances? I am interested in reduce the camera FOV to anayze  what is happening at 20 - 30 mtr.

For depth camera, the answer is NO. It is using IR technology.

No, the camera is different. You can find more info @https://software.intel.com/en-us/realsense

Hi all!

I would like to know if the Creative Senz 3D camera (which I already own) will work with the new Intel RealSense sdk.

Thank you very much!

Mike

The Creative Senz 3D camera is not supported by the Real Sense 2014 SDK, only by the Perceptual Computing 13 SDK.

Hello everyone!

I want to connect two Creative Senz 3D in same computer, and already install Intel® Perceptual Computing SDK 2013(Version 13842).

One of camera is connect successful but the other one is fail like picture

I try to uninstall all of them and re-install them. But is not working.

How can I do? Thank you very much!

Jack Huang

Hi Jack,

I just tried connecting two Creative Sense Cameras to my UltraBook and both appeared under Imaging devices as Creative GestureCam. Does each GestureCam initialise correctly when you connect them one at a time using different USB ports?

David

Hi David

One of GestureCam initialize fail like pic, And i try every USB port in my PC(USB 3.0 & 2.0) .It isn't working either.

By the way , I use ASUS zenbook ux31e to connect two Cam is successful. I don't know why.

Thank you~

Jack Huang

Hi Jack,

Did you try the same two cameras on the ASUS and they work but not on the PC?  If not then you might have a faulty camera.

David

Hi David,

Yes I did, the same two cameras on the ASUS are work but not on the PC.

Jack

Hi Jack,

Well that's positive. Try connecting one camera to the PC, check it has loaded the driver, remove and then connect the other camera into a different USB port and check it loads the driver.  When you have each camera initialising on two different ports try connecting both cameras to those ports and check if they are both initialising.

David
