D3D 11.2 introduced a cool new feature that allows you to map default buffers. This can be very useful for compute, particularly on integrated GPUs. Wondering which Intel platforms will support this feature? I am hoping that both Ivy Bridge and Haswell support this :)
I would like to know whether the Mobile IGPs in the Ivy (hd4000) and haswell(4600) are able to output 1920x1080 at 120hz via displayports(either 1.1a or 1.2)? So far I have only been able to find the maximum resolutions at 60hz; however, nothing on the 1920x1080 maximum hz.
I want to order a laptop and I need to be able to work with 120hz through an external monitor; however, the optimus or enduro technology sends the signal through the IGP and not the Nvidia or AMD cards.
Thank you for your answers :)
Cannot get FSX to go into 32 bit graphic mode with HD 4000 even though it allows selection in its graphics display setup section. (FS2004 works fine BTW)
FSX always goes down to 16 bit mode as soon as I'm full screen mode or windowed mode. FSX has a Display.cfg which lists older Intel chips. Maybe need a new entry? Anyone run into is issue?
Hi Intel Technical Support and all
I Download the sample "Erase to Transparency (WriteableBitmap)" from MSDN. The binary work success with graphic driver win32_152812(driver version 126.96.36.19932), but fail with the graphic driver win32_15313(driver version 188.8.131.5271).
The link to the sample is http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/Erase-to-Transparency-caa261a1.
When I attempt to delete an entity from my world while the visual debugger is turned on my application aborts. If the visual debugger is turned off then everything works fine. Is there anything I need to do so that the visual debuggger dosn't crash my program?
When I debug it this is always the last line of code to run before the crash happens.
P.S: This is my first time posting, so I apolgoies if I break any of the communites rules.
I have tried to automatically update my driver but it doesn't seem to find anything. Although I seem certain that the version I have is way out dated.
Any help please? (I have attatched an image)

Can Intel Media SDK be adopted to run on Xeon Phi ?
I just noticed that the GL_INTEL_map_texture OpenGL extension, specifically, glMapTexture2DINTEL() returns null with the newly released driver v15.31 (184.108.40.206.3071).
I was wondering if anyone else noticed this or has a work around. The Map/Unmap functions are otherwise straight forward to use and perform well.
The extension string 'GL_INTEL_map_texture' is present as are the proceedure addresses.
glGetError() return GL_INVALID_OPERATION after calling glMapTexture2DINTEL()
i'm an OpenGL programmer
I use the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 on SAMSUNG laptop
actaully I have this problem with it: when I write some static programs in two dimensional Opengl using GLUT_SINGLE buffer and glFlush()
e.g. showing lines or points or cte, then I see only a white window without any graphics in it! Please guide me
