Does 32-bit 2013 Intel Fortran have an idb?

I have this:

Intel(R) Visual Fortran Composer XE 2013 SP1 Update 3 Integration for Microsoft Visual Studio* 2010, 14.0.0092.2010, Copyright (C) 2002-2014 Intel Corporation


I would like to use a 3rd party IDE (Winteracter) to invoke the debugger.  Is there supposed to be an idb file in this release?  Please let me know.  Thank you.




Problem installing Visual Fortran Composer XE 2015


I have installed Visual Studio 2013 but still have Visual 2005 and VB 6.0 on my pc.  When I try to install Visual Fortran Composer XE 2015 I get prompted about the certificate and click Yes.  After a while I see a green progess bar then the splash screen disappears and the installation stops dead. Does having previous versions of Visual Studio cause the Fortran XE 2015 to not install?  Also, I have the AddTrust External CA root certificate installed.

OS is Windows 7 SP1

How to inspect which flags are used

I am working on a Makefile where I am trying to find which flags to use. The current list of flags is (for some historical reason):

-r8 -fpe0 -g -debug all -traceback -fp-model source -warn all -warn unused -check all,noarg_temp_created

From searching, I believe this may be reduced to

-r8 -fpe0 -g -traceback -fp-model source -warn all -check all,noarg_temp_created

However, I was thinking that there might be an option that would list the options that were passed to `ifort`.

Intel license over different nodes


I have a student license for "Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Linux", which I'm trying to use on my university cluster, and be able to compile codes on different nodes. I install the compiler on the head node, which uses the head node hostid, therefore other nodes face licensing issues, as each has it's own hostid.

Any solution for this case?

Hello, I have a problem with installing an elder Version of Parallel Studio XE Composer 2015 C++ on a new computer.

The license key of the form ____-________ from the order confirmation from ISP is deemed invalid from both the installer as well as the registration center.

Can you help me verifying the key and product?

Getting the Windows Handle (Fortran POSIX File Descriptor)

The user manual for ifort 2015 Update 4 subroutine PXFFILENO suggests that in the Windows OS, I can get the file descriptor (handle returned from CreateFile) associated with a Fortran File Unit number.  I tried the following code accordingly:





      CALL PXFPOSIXIO (1,iold,ierror)




      CALL PXFFILENO (10,fd,ierror)

  • H264 Encoding fails with D3D11 Memory


    I am running Sample_Encode.exe for encoding a yuv file into h264, but this application is always failing if run with -d3d11 option.

    It works fine with D3D9 video memory and System memory, but fail with D3D11 memory (failing in hardware device init). So is it any know issue or limitation in IMSDK h264 encoder implementation?

    My environment details are as following:

    Report EU array metrics

    After collecting results in the command line for a basic hotspots analysis,

    "amplxe-cl -collect hotspots -r r000hs -knob enable-gpu-usage=true -knob enable-gpu-runtimes=true MyWorkload.exe",

    where MyWorkload.exe contains openCL kernels running on Intel GPU, how do we generate a report that contains GPU statistics like EU array active, idle, stalled? The gpu-computing-tasks report is not showing this kind of data after the following command:

    "amplxe-cl -report gpu-computing-tasks -r r000hs -report-output MyReport.csv -format csv -csv-delimiter comma".
