execvp error on file, The requested operation requires elevation.

Hi,
This is Tansel. I am not a direct MPI user. Someone from my team created an application using MPI, using a single batch file to run his executable on mpiexec.

The problem is, I need to integrate this into an automated system (written in Java) and my software will call this batch at some point. However, when I do, I get the following error: (batch file launches the software in the first line, [0+] are errors)
(Program runs fine if I run the batch file w/ double click or from any command line)

This is very probably an installation issue of the Parallel Studio 2016 (update 1) on my system...So here are the details:

I have installed Intel Parallel Studio 2016 (update 1) on my server: two sockets with Intel Xeon processors (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 0 @ 2.00GHz), running Ubuntu 12.04 (I know that this is not supposed to be a supported OS...at least this is what the requirements checking thingy in the Parallel Studio install says...).

The problem is really simple:

MPI Libraries Missing from Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition 2016

I upgraded my system from the 2015 version to the 2016 version Update 1 by downloading a trial and giving it my valid serial key.  Everything seemed to install fine, but I cannot find the mpi libraries.  mpiifort seems to be missing.

So far I've only tried sourcing:

/opt/intel/parallel_studio_xe_2016.0.047/psxevars.sh

but that doesn't seem to work.  Does that mean the installation failed? If so, how do I remedy the situation.

I am trying to explore one-side-communication using Intel MPI (version 5.0.3.048, ifort version 15.0.2 20150121).

I have a cluster of 4 nodes (8 cores/node) and on each node only one rank generate a big array. Now i have to copy this array on each rank's node.

Error while running mpitune utility

Hi, we have 8 nodes cluster with each node having xeon 8cores. all the clusters are connected using mellanox infiniband. I have installed intel cluster studio xe 2015. i have been using mpiicc and mpirun for a while. Now i wanted to use mpitune utility using hostfile hosts

i tried to call mpitune from my current directory by

mpitune -hf hosts -odr /home/srinivasan/

mpitune stops by giving this output

I have installed INTEL parallel studio XE cluster edition on our 10 Node cluster machine. I'm able to compile using mpiicc but when i try to run my code using mpirun i'm getting error like this 

"error while loading shared libraries: /app/intelMPI//impi/4.1.3.048/intel64/lib/libmpi_dbg.so.4: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied"

I have checked my environment varibles path in .bashrc file, i've properly declared the LD_LIBRARY_PATH in .bashrc file. i dont know exactly what is happening.

    Hi,

    The attached program simple_repro.c reproduces what I believe is a bug in the Intel MPI implementation version 4.1.

    In short, what it does is it spawns <num_threads> threads on 2 processes, such that thread i on rank 0 is supposed to communicate with thread i on rank 1 using their private communicator. The only difference between the 2 processes involved is that the threads on rank 0 are coordinated with a semaphore, such that they can't all be active at the same time. Threads on rank 1 run freely.
