Clay Breshears is the author of "The Art of Concurrency" published by O'Reilly and a self-admitted Thread Monkey. He is currently a Courseware Architect for the Intel Scale Programs Organization, specializing in multi-core and multithreaded programming and training. Starting at Intel in September 2000, Clay was a Senior Parallel Application Engineer at the Intel Parallel Applications Center in Champaign, IL, implementing multithreaded and distributed solutions in customer applications. Clay received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, but has been involved with parallel computation and programming for over twenty-five years; six of those years were spent in academia at Eastern Washington University and The University of Southern Mississippi.
