Since the Intel AppUp developer program opened to developers in China, we’ve been encouraged by the fantastic early response from developers. So, today at IDF Beijing we announced new collaborations with ISV Neusoft*, OEM partners Haier* and Hasee*, and Shenzhen Software Park* to work closely and grow the Intel AppUp ecosystem in China.
We are excited about these new collaborations because these will lay a strong foundation helping bring new local apps to China’s hundreds millions of consumers. As an app store, the Intel AppUp center is a framework designed to facilitate OEMs, service providers and others to deliver customer facing storefronts for distributing apps. From a developer perspective too, this is fantastic since it enables them to distribute apps not just via Intel AppUp center but also via affiliate app stores. At the moment, Intel AppUp center is available via Best Buy, Best Buy Canada, Future Shop, Dixons, Asus, Croma, HSN, New Egg and TigerDirect as well as Walmart.com*. Our latest collaborations help build on this momentum.
The localized Intel AppUp center and Intel AppUp developer program will be available to Chinese consumers and developers by the end of this year
