When designing a lead generation site for mobile, there some aspects that you must pay particular attention to: 

Have you grabbed your target audience?

Is your mobile site designed to reach your targeted audience? Have you grabbed their attention and given them a reason to buy your product? If not, then you are losing a tremendous opportunity to capture potential customers.

You’d be surprised at how many mobile sites waste customers' time by displaying logos or animation instead of getting to what’s important. Make sure that absolutely every element on your website has a purpose and get rid of anything that is cluttering up and detracting from your message.

Can your customer get your information immediately? 

Make sure that your mobile website is optimized for mobile search. Pay attention to design elements remembering that less is more when it comes to mobile websites. If you have too much information, you run the risk of confusing your customer. Make sure the site: 

  • Has intuitive navigation – so your customer can find what he needs
  • Has smaller images – so that the site loads quickly 
  • Is limited to only the essential pages – quite simply, clutter confuses
  • Has limited flash and tables – not only do these take time to load, but often you cannot read the information from a mobile device

To help your site get found, optimize keywords, title, meta and heading tags on your pages and blog posts so that potential customers can find your site quickly using search engines. 

Lastly, make sure the site has been tested for speed, nothing will dampen a mobile customer’s enthusiasm faster than having to wait for a website to load. A customer who is expected to wait for your site to load is a customer who will leave your site.
