Searching BMC IPMI SDK

Searching BMC IPMI SDK

Hello.

We have Intel Server Board S1200BTL. It supports IPMI through BMC.

We want to develop some software that will use BMC features remotely.

Can somebody help us in searching some SDK. How we can work with this hardware remotely using some high level API?

Maybe you can give us some links from Internet. Maybe you know some famous API, COM library that can help us in working with BMC...

thanks in advance.

Best regards, Alex.

By a way we are using .NET C#

It sounds like you are wanting to use the IPMI management rather than Activem Management Technology.  Is that correct?  If so we do not handle IPMI on this forum (at least I don't.)

Thanks Gael for your answer.

Yes. I want to use the IPMI management throug BMC directly out-of-band. Can you get me some links to the forums where can I ask a question about this?

There are some open source projects that provide tools for the computer management through IPMI. But it is for the most part for the Linux, wrote in C and it is positioned like tools and is not like API. For example, http://openipmi.sourceforge.net/http://ipmitool.sourceforge.net/http://ipmiutil.sourceforge.net/http://www.gnu.org/software/freeipmi/.

We are designing an Intel Atom processor E38xx based platform for which we are looking for BMC hardware and software COTS solution compliant to IPMI 2.0 version. We would like to know on

1. BMC hardware solution for this platform

2. Software running on the BMC controller

3. Related artifacts from Intel

Kindly confirm.
