While Intel did not release an Intel® vProTM Technology desktop with ME (Intel® Manageability Engine) Firmware v10, the later versions of firmware are backwards compatible as early as Intel® 7 series chipsets (ME 8.x originally).
Back in the old days, one only needed to think about ME (Intel® Manageability Engine) Firmware if one was using Intel® Active Management Technology (AMT) on Intel® vProTM Technology systems.
Below find 2 scripts (Big Thanks to Lance A) using PowerShell* to:
- Test the Reason for the last boot
- Set the AMT Alarm Clock.(legacy interface)
Before running a PowerShell script, you may need to set the PowerShell environment to allow scripts to run . Also make sure the vPro Scripting Library is installed on the client.
