Turn on/off Intel(R) Edison Arduino on board LED via Bluetooth SPP by using the IoT dev kit

        Introduction

     This article explains how to set up IoT developer kit and enable Bluetooth SPP and make the Yocto application which getting data from buffer of the pipe which used by BT-DBUS API and control the GPIO to turn on / off LED in the Intel(R) Edison. As you do follow the step by step guide below, you may easily have set-up of the Intel(R) Edision Developer environment with Bluetooth as well as can understand well the Intel(R) Edison hardware and software.

    Requisitos

  • Communicate to Arduino code with your Android* Phone by Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP) on Intel® Edison

    Introduction:

    In Arduino environment, it's convenient to access BT SPP like a serial port and react to the command string sent from the BT serial port. Many Arduino projects have utilized this way to allow remote control for their projects. In the past, you'll need additional BT shield or BT kit to archive it on Intel® Galileo. Now, since we have built-in BT support on Intel® Edison, you can use Edison module with Arduino breakout board to do it. NO additional BT shield is required!

    Requirements

    • A Bluetooth* audio device, like a headset or speaker that can play sounds.

    • Connect your Intel® Edison board to a Wi-Fi* network, see Step 3: Get your Board Online.

    • SCP using a host computer connected to the same network (to copy music files over).

    • Establish a terminal to your board either Via Serial port or SSH.
