CPU compatibility with Xenon Phi ?

I am having hard time finding information on CPU compatibility with Xenon Phi's, if there is any.

Will the Xeon Phi 31S1P and the MPSS 3.4 work with i7 4820k ? Is there any restriction on CPU ?

Also, the Read me file for Windows of the driver says that the currently supported OS are:

Microsoft Windows* 7 Enterprise SP1 (64-bit)

Microsoft Windows* 8/8.1 Enterprise (64-bit)

Microsoft Windows* Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit)

Microsoft Windows* Server 2012 (64-bit)

Microsoft Windows* Server 2012 R2 (64-bit)

  • Is there any way to link against an older version of MPSS

    Hi Folks, 

    I'm seeing some very strange performance with a computational chemistry code (CP2K) that I've previously benchmarked extensively on the Xeon Phi. I'm running in native mode for these tests. 

    Since our cards were upgraded to MPSS version 3.4.2 my mixed mode MPI/OpenMP version of the code is running 10-20 times slower than it used to. 

    Xeon Phi 31S1P 270W vs 300W

    Hi,

    System: Ubuntu 14.03, MPSS 3.4.1, 31S1P

    When I run micinfo it display "Product 300W Passive CS" instead of 270W as product description. Is it a "feature" or a bug?
