Media Kit for CentOS and CS for WebRTC for ubuntu?

Hi there,

We are running into some problems where we successfully installed intel media server studio on centOS (which is what it recommended) - but now we installed the the CS for Web RTC (this was supposed to be on Ubuntu) - so it sounds like the documents are out of sync.

The dilemma that I have is - do I install ubuntu and hope that the media server installs or is there another version of CS for webRTC that will work with centOs

the error we are getting is:

Intel RealSense 3D scanning: How To Import To Unity

The most recent SDK for the  Intel®  RealSense™ F200 camera now includes 3D scanning. This is an amazing feature and will allow developers and digital artists to scan in real world objects to use in their projects.  One use case is to scan in a real world object and use in Unity.  This is a 2 part series that will walk you through the process.

In this last step I will show you how to import your scanned object into Unity

MFXInit fails with -9 MFX_ERR_NOT_FOUND

hi~

I have seen a couple of related threads, where specific sample or API failed to work ;
when I use Msdk to do hardware decoding, some times it work success ,but some case it work wrong,the same code and running in the same computer.(I do the five streaming decodings in the same time ,and the init failed in the no.4 streaming )

mfxStatus nStatus = MFXInit(MFX_IMPL_AUTO_ANY, &Version, &Session);

the return value nStatu=-9; MFX_ERR_NOT_FOUND

I don't know in wich conditons  the function MFXInit return -9??

Intel INDE under Windows and what can I use under Linux then?

Hi,

what is the best way to set-up an application under Windows with INDE and the Intel Media SDK and to port this to Linux as OS?

I want to have a media client which is able to run under Windows and Linux.

Do I have to use the Intel Media Server package for Linux?

Is there any same API in spite of the differences between DirectShow and the libAV?

Best regards,

Detlev

Error unsupported while session init with 4 monitors.

Hi,

I've problem with MFXVideoSession initialization. Currently I have 4 monitors connected to external GPU and Intel display connected as "Try to connect anyway on: VGA" (when there are 3 monitors, quick sync HW works).

Example code looks like this:

 mfxVersion version = { 1, 0 }; // doesn't matter which version

 MFXVideoSession session;

 mfxStatus sts = session.Init( MFX_IMPL_AUTO_ANY, &version );
 session.Close();

sts is MFX_ERR_UNSUPPORTED.

My HW spec is HD4600 and Media SDK 2013 R2.

Avoid frequency drop in GPU cores when executing applications in Heterogeneous mode

Introduction

Intel(R) C++ Compiler 15.0 provides a feature which enables offloading general purpose compute kernels to processor graphics. This feature enables the processor graphics silicon area for general purpose computing. The key idea is to utilize the compute power of both CPU cores and GPU execution units in tandem for better utilization of available compute power.

Target OS requirements:

  • Linux*
  • Microsoft Windows* (XP, Vista, 7)
  • Microsoft Windows* 8.x
  • C/C++
  • Avançado
  • Intermediário
  • Intel system studio 2015
  • Gráficos
  • Computação paralela
  • MFX_ERR_INCOMPATIBLE_VIDEO_PARAM with MPEG2 Encoding and low Bitrate

    I experience an error:

      MFX_ERR_INCOMPATIBLE_VIDEO_PARAM

    while calling <MFXVideoENCODE_Init> if mfx.TargetKbps is below a certain value. Settings are appropriate for regular DVD Video PAL, MPEG2.

    Values for TargetKbps above 0x0120 (means ca. 4500 MBit/sec Video) give MFX_ERROR_NONE, values below result in the error code above.

    Is this a bug or do I have change other settings as well?
