GM965 Memory Data Corruption on Dell Vostro 1500 Windows7 x64

Some time ago, Intel detected a bug related to a wrong dynamic video ram assignment (DVMT) on its GM965 chipset. This affect several Dell Notebook using the GM965 chipset and VBIOS version 1466.

To solve the issue, Intel emitted a new VBIOS version1588, which can be found at least in this driverhttp://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17410&Pro...

OpenGL 3 on Clarkdale GPUs

Question about Clarkdale GPUs:

The driver only claims support for OpenGL 2.1, despite supporting D3D 10.0. I can't see any reason for it not supporting GL 3.0 at least, and hopefully up to 3.3. It does expose some extensions that way, but not geometry shaders etc.

Apparently Sandy Bridge does report GL 3.

Will the driver team be providing GL 3 for Clarkdale later? There were frequent driver updates a while ago, but there hasn't been anything since April.

I am not big into computers, but I think I am having some issues with my new i7 processor

I just bought a brand spanking new asus g53sw gaming laptop, which is supposed to kick some major ass when it comes to gaming. However, in about 70% of the games I play there are consistent and uncontrollable drops in framerate that occour periodically. Even if i were to put the game on the lowest setting possible, it still happens. I then found that the level of GHz that my processor was putting out had a stark decline whenever these brief moments of lag occoured. In these games that were virtually unplayable on any setting the GHz seemed to be all over the place, vs.

Would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help me out with the vertical sync flip, i cant seem to turn it off through the graphics control panel and i want to flip it off for cod4 and was wondering if this was achievable?
