HibernateException: No Session found for current thread

Dynamic Languages take over the internet

What would happen if you were hauling a trailer down the road, and suddenly you realized that the trailer you thought you were pulling passes you on the highway. (Which I guess can actually happen, I just saw a video capture of this exact disaster, happening to a trucker). You might not feel kind of blind-sided!

This is kind of the way I feel when a technology trend sneaks up on me and suddenly I feel like I'm way behind the curve.

Innovation Think!

I have been hosting a program, started in March of 2015, called “Innovation Think” with the intent to get people exposed to technology that stimulates innovation either directly or through the exercising of the creative mind.

Intel® XDK Helping Change the World

Ngesa loves Intel architecture and encourages new developers to start coding with Intel® XDK, which enables them to design and deploy applications across multiple operating systems and also lets them scale their apps to reach more users. He describes the Intel Galileo board as “one of the best developer boards for all electronics enthusiasts” as it enables them to do cool things with wearables by improving their software and electronics skills.

OpenCV 3.0.0 ( IPP & TBB enabled ) on Yocto with Intel® Edison with new Yocto image release

This article is a tutorial for setting up OpenCV 3.0.0 on Yocto with Intel® Edison. We will build OpenCV 3.0.0 on Edison Breakout/Expansion Board using a Windows/Linux host machine. In this article, we will enable Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives ( IPP ) and Intel® Threading Building Blocks ( TBB ) to optimize and parallelize some OpenCV functions. For example, cvHaarDetectObjects(...) , an OpenCV function that detects objects of different sizes in the input image, is parallelized with the TBB library. By doing this, we can fully utilize the dual-core of Edison.

The initial activities involve Center Director Judy Qiu, an Assistant Professor in the School of Informatics and Computing, and Distinguished Professor of Physics Steven Gottlieb. Qiu will be researching novel parallel systems supporting data analytics and Gottlieb will be adapting the physics simulation code of the MILC Collaboration to the Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessor.
