The Intel® MPI Library is a high-performance interconnect-independent multi-fabric library implementation of the industry-standard Message Passing Interface, v3.0 (MPI-3.0) specification. This package is for MPI users who develop on and build for Intel® 64 architectures on Linux* and Windows*, as well as customers running on the Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessor on Linux*. You must have a valid license to download, install, and use this product.

  • Ordering of images on different nodes using Coarray Fortran and IntelMPI

    Hello

    I have a question about ordering of images when -coarray=distributed compiler option is used and the program is run on a cluster using IntelMPI libraries.

    Assuming that the number of images is the same as the number of CPUs, are the images running on CPUs within the same node indexed by consecutive numbers?

  • Intel MPI issue with the usage of Slurm

    To whom it may concern,

    Hello. We are using Slurm to manage our Cluster. However, we met a new issue of Intel MPI with Slurm. When one node reboots, the Intel MPI will fail with that node but manaully restart of slurm daemon will fix it. I also tried to add "service slurm restart" in /etc/rc.local which runs in the end of booting but the issue is still there.

    cpuinfo output from system call different

    Hello,

    I'm using Intel MPI 5.0 and am making a system call inside my fortran program and it returns different values depending on the env. variable I_MPI_PIN_DOMAIN. Why is that? How do I make it give consistent output?

    Sample Fortran (Intel Fortran 13.1) program that can reproduce this:

            call system("cpuinfo|grep 'Packages(sockets)'|

    I have been having trouble with the intel-compiled version of a scientific software stack.

    The stack uses both OpenMP and MPI. When I started working on the code, it had been compiled with gcc & a gcc-compiled OpenMPI. Prior to adding any MPI code, the software compiles with icpc and runs without error.

    The versions I am working with are: Intel compiler version 14.0.2, Intel mkl 11.1.2, and Intel MPI 4.1.3. I have tried turning up the debug level I_MPI_DEBUG to get more informative messages, but what I always end up with is:
