Intel® Parallel Studio Ships For Multi-core Software 


Today, Intel began shipping Intel® Parallel Studio, a suite of development tools for C/C++ developers using Microsoft® Visual Studio. The product suite, which includes Intel Parallel Composer, Intel Parallel Inspector, and Intel Parallel Amplifier, enables Windows developers to create, debug and optimize applications for multi-core processors. Additionally, Intel Parallel Advisor Lite, a new plug-in for Intel Parallel Studio that helps developers determine where parallelism is most beneficial to existing source code is available today at whatif.intel.com. From the way the products work together to support the development lifecycle to their unique feature sets, parallelism is now easier and more viable than ever before. Parallel Studio was created in direct response to the concerns of software industry leaders and developers. The tools are designed so those new to parallelism can learn as they go, and experienced parallel programmers can work more efficiently and with more confidence. Parallel Studio is interoperable with common parallel programming libraries and API standards, such as Intel® Threading Building Blocks (Intel® TBB) and OpenMP*, and provides an immediate opportunity to realize the benefits of multicore platforms.
