Intel® MKL 11.3.3 patch

There are two listed below limitations with Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL) 11.3 Update 3 which were discovered recently. The official fix of these issues will be available the nearest update Intel MKL 11.3.4.

If you require an immediate Intel MKL update to address these issues, please submit a ticket at Intel Premier Support (https://premier.intel.com) for the Intel MKL product.

    Уважаемые читатели и авторы русскоязычных блогов Сообщества Разработчиков Intel, с сентября 2012 года блоги работают на новой площадке - Intel Developer Zone (IDZ), используют новый "движок", дают новые возможности, и, к сожалению,.... новые баги. Так, в течение нескольких недель вместо русскоязычных блогов на соответствующей странице IDZ отображались блоги на английском языке, а RSS-подписчикам однажды даже довелось получить посты на китайском языке.     PIN Errors in 2017 Update 3 and 4 Analysis Tools

    Problem:

    As of July 28th, 2017, we have been receiving many reports of people who have been having problems with the analysis tools (Intel® VTune™ Amplifier, Advisor, and Inspector) as a result of a problem with PIN, the tool they use to instrument software.

    PIN problems can produce several types of error. One of the more common ones is

    Issue: Installation of Intel® Parallel Studio XE with Microsoft* Visual Studio 2017 integration hangs and fails on some systems. The problem is intermittent and not reproducible on every system. Any attempts to repair it fails with the message "Incomplete installation of Microsoft Visual Studio* 2017 is detected". Note, in some cases the installation may complete successfully with no error/crashes, however, the integration to VS2017 is not installed.

    Issue

    In order to use the Intel® C++ or Fortran Compiler to develop for Windows* targets using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017*, it is necessary to install the Desktop development with C++ component from Visual Studio.  This component is not installed by default. The Intel® Parallel Studio XE installation will detect the missing component and provide a warning, but the installation can still proceed. The component may be installed when Microsoft Visual Studio 2017* is first installed, or may be installed later.

    Problem:

    There is a delay of ~25 seconds when a floating license is checked out.

    Environment:

    Linux* RHEL/CentOS* v7.2

    Root Cause:

    There is a bug in Red Hat 7.2 which adds a 25 second timeout to a library call used to checkout a floating license when IPv6 is disabled.  Bug is described here.
