Check Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessors with Intel® Cluster Checker 2.2

Intel® Cluster Checker tool evaluates HPC clusters for consistency, functionality and performance. This includes capability for evaluating the hardware configuration of Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors.

This module will describe the use of Intel® Cluster Checker to:

  • Intel® Cluster Checker
  • Intel® Cluster Ready
  • Intel® MPSS
  • Coprocessor
  • Configuration
  • Кластерные вычисления
  • Intel® Many Integrated Core Architecture
  • Maintenance options in SCS 8.0

After you configure your system once, every now and then you will need to perform “maintenance” tasks on the machine. What are maintenance tasks?
Well, they include re-synching Intel® AMT’s internal clock so Kerberos will keep working; re-issuing any certificates that are about to expire; re-defiing administrator passwords, etc.

SCS 8.0 ... now only weeks away

In the life of a project you work on, the last few weeks can be very stressful. So before I dive into those final weeks of intense coding, this is a good time for me to take a step back and share with you some of the cooler features we've added to SCS 8.0.

Jobs - Jobs are basically operations you perform on a group of systems. You create the job by defining the group of systems it will run on, when you want it to run, and the operation to be performed.

Video: How to Configure and Un-configure an Intel® vPro™ technology client (Intel® AMT) inside the MEBx Menus

If you have just purchased and Intel® AMT Client and are wondering how to get started managing your new system, you can watch this short ~10 minute video on how to quickly configure Intel AMT. This video also demonstrates how to unconfigure Intel AMT from inside the MEBx environment.

Still have questions? Please go to our Developer's Forum and ask away!

Video: Navigating the MEBx Menus of an Intel® vPro™ technology client (Intel® AMT)

The first thing you may think about after you have purchased an Intel® vPro Platform with Intel® AMT Technology, is "Where do I start?"  Getting to "know" the MEBx* menus is probably one of the first things you might want to do.  This video shows you how to get into them and how you can change some of your Intel Active Management Technology's settings and configurations.

Here is a short ~11 minute video that I put together to demonstrate getting into the MEBx menus and navigating through them.

My favorite screen (this week) - another SCS 8 teaser

As I am the UI developer for SCS 8, and proud of it, I enjoy taking pride in my work as well as showing it off to others.
I am especially proud of the screen you can see below, and it also shows some of the small (and large) changes we made in SCS 8.
(Before I go any further - as we are still WIP, please please please understand that the screen you eventually get might look different than what I am now showing you.)

    SCS 8 first teaser

I’m on the team working on SCS 8, and although we are not even half way done, I’m really excited about our new features. At this point I will only talk about features that we’ve already implemented, so this is in no way the final list of features.

Let’s first take it one step back. SCS 7.0 and 7.1 took SCS in a different direction. We added Host Based Configuration, so we can definitely say that configuration has never been simpler. We also removed the use of a database, and so we got ourselves one lean-and-mean configuration machine.
