The KVM capability needs to be enabled before the Intel AMT platform will allow a KVM session to start. Once KVM is enabled, connections can be made using the redirection ports – 16994 (non-TLS) or 16995 (using TLS).
KVM sessions can connect over the standard IANA Virtual
Network Computing port (5900), if the port was enabled and an RFB password was
supplied.
End of Support Note: Port 5900 is no longer supported. Attempting to configure an RFB password or enabling the port via IPS_KVMRedirectionSettingData.PUT causes Intel AMT to return the message unsupported. For details on affected releases, see Working with Port 5900.
Note: |
Turning off a monitor during a KVM session may disconnect the KVM session. |
