Get Provisioning Mode

The following steps describe how to get the current value of Provisioning Mode from the Intel AMT device.

1.  Retrieve the instance of AMT_SetupAndConfigurationService, where the “Name” key is “Intel(r) AMT Setup and Configuration Service”.

2.  Examine AMT_SetupAndConfigurationService.ProvisioningMode to see the provisioning mode.

You can execute this snippet by inserting it into the execution template found here.

$setupAndConfigurationServiceRef =$wsmanConnectionObject.NewReference("SELECT * FROM AMT_SetupAndConfigurationService WHERE Name='Intel(r) AMT Setup and Configuration Service'")

$setupAndConfigurationServiceInstance =$setupAndConfigurationServiceRef.Get()

$provisioningMode =$setupAndConfigurationServiceInstance.GetProperty("ProvisioningMode")

Additional Information

In releases before 6.0 the options were either Enterprise or Small-Medium Business (SMB). In Release 6.0/6.1 the Provisioning Mode is always Enterprise. The SMB mode was replaced with an MEBx manual configuration option that results in the Intel AMT device capable of supporting all features, without the feature limitations of SMB.

In Release 6.2 and later releases, the Provisioning Mode is either Admin Control mode (equivalent to Enterprise mode) or Client Control mode.
