Get VLAN Parameters

The following steps describe how to retrieve the VLAN mode and ID currently used by the Intel AMT device.

1.  Retrieve the instances of AMT_EthernetPortSettings, where the “InstanceID” key is equal to either “Intel(r) AMT Ethernet Port Settings 0” (wired interface) or “Intel(r) AMT Ethernet Port Settings 1” (wireless interface).

2.  For each instance examine AMT_EthernetPortSettings.MACAddress, and AMT_EthernetPortSettings.VLANTag etc.

1.   See the Get Core Version use case for the GetCoreVersion function.

 You can execute this snippet by inserting it into the execution template found here.

$ethernetPortSettingsRef =$wsmanConnectionObject.NewReference("SELECT * FROM AMT_EthernetPortSettings WHERE InstanceID='Intel(r) AMT Ethernet Port Settings 0'")

$ethernetPortSettingsInstance =$ethernetPortSettingsRef.Get()

$macAddress =$ethernetPortSettingsInstance.GetProperty("MACAddress")

$fwVersion = GetCoreVersion

if(($fwVersion.ToString() -lt '4.0') -bor (($fwVersion.ToString() -ge '5.0') -band ($fwVersion.ToString() -lt '6.0')))

{

    $vlanTag =$ethernetPortSettingsInstance.GetProperty("VLANTag")

}

Additional Information

The VLANTag property is available to users with General Info permissions. Other properties require SECURITY_ADMINISTRATION permissions.

Releases 4.x, 6.0 and later releases do not support VLAN.
