Intel AMT Release 12.0 Architecture

Release 12.0 adds the following features to Intel AMT:

Intel AMT now supports TLS version 1.2. Support for TLS version 1.0 has been removed.

A new client type has been created for TLS sessions, which uses a cipher suite with a block size of 256. When using the redirection library, you can access this client type using a new option in the ClientType enum; when using KVM, you can access this client type using the new KVM_StartEx or KVMCustomTransport_OpenEx functions.

The new CIM_Battery class enumerates each of the batteries connected to the system and contains information about their current status.

It is now possible to globally disable AMT in the MEBx menu, such that it cannot be reenabled remotely.

A new category of “super_critical” events has been created. Actions associated with these events will fail if they cannot be properly logged.
